FAQ
How long does the process take?
Each permanent makeup appointment will take at least 2-4 hours from beginning to end. I will draw each item on to your satisfaction. I never rush the consulting process because it is extremely important for you to see and understand what the end result will be.

I make sure that you are fully numb before starting and all throughout the process. The actual tattooing work is fairly quick and I put on a movie and there are even snacks.
It is all of the set up work that ensures that each person is getting exactly what they want.
How painful is Permanent Makeup?
I use a very effective blend of topical numbing anesthetics. It’s a unique combination that I’ve perfected over my 20 years of experience for the areas that I will be working on.

I create a calm peaceful environment and work to each clients comfort level to achieve their permanent makeup goals.

When done properly, it can be easy. On average, one or two of my clients (per week) will fall asleep while I’m doing their permanent makeup.
Does a higher price really mean a better service?
Most people intuitively know the answer to this question, but just to give a little more insight...
Firstly, it's extremely important that permanent makeup artists use one time use supplies. Meaning, anything that touches each individual client goes in the trash afterwards.

Setting up our equipment properly to avoid cross contamination every single time is expensive, on top of the cost of doing business (rent, equipment maintenance, insurance, media, etc).
Secondly, time really is money in our business... Pay a little more upfront and receive much more time to get it all right the first time. Also, cuts back on your touchup appointments.

Even if I wasn't a professional, my advice is to avoid lower priced permanent makeup... Unfortunately, I’ve seen so many regretful clients that end up spending much more overall to get their permanent makeup fixed.
How long will my Permanent Makeup last?
There are many factors that will determine how long your permanent makeup will last before it needs a touchup. The simple answer is on average, 5-10 years for eyeliner, 2-5 years for brows and lips. There are many factors to keeping your permanent makeup fresh looking though.

Staying out of the sun and not using glycolic or salicylic acid face wash over the tattooed area(s) are a couple of ways to preserve your makeup.

Also products like lash growing agents will fade eyeliner.
The longevity is also dependent on how dark your initial permanent makeup color was to start. For example, a black eyeliner is going to last 5 times longer than a light blonde eyebrow.
How Much down time will I go through after the application?
I advise my clients to wait at least a week to 10 days before they get back to most normal activities after their first appointment.

You will want to hold off on swimming, working out, gardening, deep cleaning/vacuuming and other sweaty, dirty activities for at least a week.

Your permanent makeup also looks much more bold and over done initially, so you may not want to have any social events scheduled for at least a week or two until you are fully healed.
Should I purchase any after care products?
All of your aftercare supplies will be provided for you along with written do’s and don’ts. Some people like to take Arnica after their appointment. Never use Arnica topically while healing.

Please make sure you read ALL of your do’s and don’ts. Many times touchups can be avoided if you are taking care of your makeup properly while you are healing
Is there anything I need to do before I come in for my appointment?
You will want to stop all non-essential medications and supplements at least 3 days before your appointment.
Please do not drink alcohol at least 24 hours before or after your appointment.

You don’t need to remove your everyday makeup before you come in as it will help me understand how you usually look with your makeup on.

I will wipe your makeup off before I start the consulting process of drawing your permanent makeup template on.
It is also wise to bring me examples of makeup that you like and think you might want done. I can then try some of those styles on you and see if you like them :).
My friend and I would like to come in together. Is there room for us both?
Yes! I will have beverages (water and soda) and snacks available. There is a an extra seat for a friend or family member to come and chat/give moral support while we work :).
How should I book an appointment?
You can book online through my website or you can text me at 480.215.4014 to ask me follow up questions before you schedule your appointment.
I use a longer lasting line of ink. My Powder Filled Brows last from 2-5 years on average and my Eyeliner and Lash Enhancements last from 5-10 years on average. I take Micro-blading, Lip and corrective work clients on a case by case basis.
My specialty is Eyeliner and Lash Enhancements. I’ve had many clients tell me they never could have imagined having their permanent eyeliner done but that it wasn’t that difficult and now they don’t have to do their eyeliner any more. If you are thinking that you would like a little permanent eye makeup but eyeliner sounds like too much of a commitment then you should definitely get a Lash Enhancement. They last a long time and fade out very naturally. Lash Enhancements are the simplest service I provide because they aren’t painful and they add a little smokiness to your lash base.
Permanent makeup is a tattoo that mimics topically applied cosmetics and should always be applied at the correct depth. Too deep and it lasts too long and becomes difficult to update as it fades (like body art tattoos). Too shallow and it won’t last causing the touch ups to be too frequent (as in once or twice per year) which damages and scars the skin over time.
I do my best to make this a relaxing, easy process for each person that walks through my door. I’ve had many clients nod off while I am applying their permanent makeup.
There are things you can do to prepare before your appointment. I will provide you with everything that you need during and after your appointment, so once you have read through the pre-care instructions, there will be nothing for you to do but show up with an idea of what you would like your makeup to look like.
