Cosmetic Tattooing can be traced back to ancient cultures all over the world. Cosmetic Tattooing has been used to promote beauty, wealth and/or royalty. The manual method of Permanent Makeup is the oldest form of tattooing with the Rotary and Coil Machine methods following in the 1900s.
SofTap® is the modern day, manual method of Permanent Makeup. It is a gentle, non-mechanical way of implanting pigment, and relies on the technician as its power source. SofTap® is very quiet and yields gorgeous, natural-looking results; however it needs to be touched-up more frequently than the mechanical methods.
The Coil Machine Method is unmatched in its designs’ longevity. It is also the most powerful method and puts in the most pigment per second. In the right hands, this method also yields stunning, natural-looking results.
Both methods have been around for decades and are very reliable, but the client’s individual needs will determine which is best.
